Media in Ghana
In summer of 2016 I spent 6 weeks living in Ghana, Africa, through a program called Media in Ghana.
While there, I worked as the sole in-house designer at a marketing agency called Emerge. Emerge helped shape my work to forms less familiar to me for the satisfaction of the client and culture.
I learned a lot about the culture there, which taught me more about the culture in the U.S.
I experienced, for the first time, what it feels like to be a racial minority, which taught me that I will never fully understand this feeling in America. But I will never stop trying to.
Lastly, I learned that betting solely on the ancient film camera that your mom found buried in the garage is not very safe. But, an iPhone 6 will do the trick. Below is a documentation of my experience filled with photos curated by my iPhone.
